Privacy Policy

ParmarTools ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected and how it is used when you visit parmartools.me (the "Site") or use the ParmarTools Android app (the "App"). Together the Site and the App are the "Services".

Most of what we build runs on your device. Where something does leave your device, this policy says so explicitly. By using our Services you agree to the practices described below.

Files you work with. PDF, image, and text tools process your files on your own device — in your browser on the Site, and on the phone itself in the App. Those files are not uploaded to us, and we keep no copies. The three exceptions are listed in section 4.

Account information (optional). You can use every tool without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google or with an email and password, Firebase Authentication stores your email address, a user id, and sign-in timestamps. We never see or store your password.

Download entitlement. Downloads in the App are unlocked by watching a rewarded video or by subscribing. If you are signed in, we store a small record against your user id: the type of unlock, when it expires, your email address, and a short history of grants. Nothing about the files you export is recorded.

Advertising data. The App shows ads through Google AdMob and the Site through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may access your device's Advertising ID and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. The App declares the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission for this purpose.

Diagnostics. Anonymised crash and error reports (Sentry), plus aggregated usage statistics such as page views and tool popularity (Google Analytics on the Site). These help us fix bugs and decide what to build.

Device information. Browser or Android version, screen size, and language, used to render the interface correctly.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing profiles of our own.

We use the information above only to:
• Run the feature you asked for, including keeping a download unlock valid for its stated time.
• Verify that a rewarded video was genuinely watched, or that a subscription is active.
• Keep the Services working — diagnosing crashes, fixing bugs, and preventing abuse.
• Understand aggregate usage so we can prioritise new tools.
• Show ads, which is what keeps the tools free.

We do not combine your account information with advertising data.

PDF merging and splitting, image compression and resizing, OCR, resume and bio-data generation, calculators, and the text and developer utilities all run locally. In the App this includes OCR, which uses models bundled inside the app rather than a server. Closing the tool discards whatever was loaded into it.

Three features do send data to a server, because they cannot work otherwise. Each one is optional and clearly labelled in the interface:
• AI background removal sends the image you selected to remove.bg, which returns the cut-out image.
• AI resume and cover-letter writing sends the text you entered to Google's Gemini API, which returns the generated text.
• Downloadable OCR language packs are fetched from our server; this transfers no personal data.

We route the first two through our own server so that the API keys stay off your device. We do not store the images or text involved — they are passed through and discarded. The providers process them under their own terms.

• Google AdMob (App) and Google AdSense (Site): advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies, the Advertising ID, and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where you have consented. You can review or change ad personalisation in Android under Settings → Google → Ads, or for the Site at https://www.google.com/settings/ads. In the European Economic Area and the UK, the App asks for your consent choices before requesting ads.
• Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google): sign-in and the download-entitlement record described in section 2.
• Google Gemini API and remove.bg: the optional AI features in section 4.
• Sentry: anonymised crash and error reporting.
• Google Analytics (Site): aggregated usage statistics. You can opt out with Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Firebase App Hosting (Google): hosting for the Site and our API endpoints, which processes server logs including IP addresses for security and reliability.

On the Site we use cookies and browser storage for:
• Preferences: your theme choice and similar interface settings.
• Analytics: to distinguish visitors and limit request rates.
• Advertising: third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

You can manage or clear cookies in your browser at any time, and opt out of personalised advertising at https://www.google.com/settings/ads or https://www.aboutads.info.

The App uses no cookies. It stores your settings and your current unlock expiry in local app storage, which is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Files are never retained, because they are never uploaded.

Account and entitlement data is kept while your account exists. Expired unlock records are meaningless once they lapse and are removed or overwritten as part of normal operation.

Deleting your account. In the App, open Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your sign-in record and the entitlement attached to it, including any remaining unlock time. Files you already saved to your phone are untouched, since they were never ours to delete.

If you cannot reach the in-app option — for example you have uninstalled the App — see parmartools.me/account-deletion or email support@parmartools.me from the address you signed up with, and we will delete the account within 30 days.

Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
• Access the information associated with your account.
• Correction of inaccurate information.
• Deletion of your account and its data, as described in section 7.
• Withdraw consent for personalised advertising, through your device or browser ad settings, or the consent form shown in the App.
• Portability of your data. For the tools themselves this is inherent: the files stay with you.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting accounts or advertising will also be announced in the App.
